Scholarship Awarded for Term 3 2024

We’re excited to announce that Future Tutor’s Full Tutoring Scholarship has been awarded for Term 3 2024. This marks our 3rd Full Scholarship grant, a wonderful milestone for our small business. We’re grateful to all of the parents and students whose support makes this scholarship possible.

Why offer a tutoring scholarship?

We believe in equal access to education for all students. Although primary and secondary school are free in Australia, for many students, the public system isn’t enough to meet their needs. Students easily fall behind, especially in events like the Covid pandemic, and classroom teachers are unable to provide extra support to students who need it. Tutoring is the best option for many struggling students, but it out of reach for many families. While other support options exist for disadvantaged students, there’s no substitute for expert help. Learners’ needs are complex and multifaceted; it takes an experienced and highly skilled tutor to uncover foundational weaknesses and address learning difficulties. If we want all Australian children to thrive at school, we need to give high quality tutoring away for free.

What do scholarship recipients receive?

Recipients are awarded 10 hours of private 1-on-1 tutoring with one of our tutors. As much as we can, we treat them the same as our paying clients: meeting them at a time and place that suits them and delivering academic support and coaching both within their lessons and between them. Most of all, we respect our scholarship student’s privacy and do not ask them to perform any publicity work for us.
